Eric Bates & Sons Ltd is a respected three-generation family run business based in the heart of the Norfolk Broads. Since Eric formed the business back in the 1970’s as a respected antique dealer both locally and nationally, we have worked tirelessly to develop our brand of furniture manufacture known for its outstanding quality and beauty.
We have drawn on this experience in our development into producing handmade bespoke kitchens and interiors.
We are proud to offer a full planning, design, manufacturing and fitting service which is available for any room in the home. We will include small building works, plumbing, tiling and decorating if required and will project manage everything for you giving you complete peace of mind from start to finish.
Our customers are at the heart of everything we do. We listen first, advise where needed and work hard to bring your dream to life. No project is considered too large or too small and we pride ourselves on utilising every last amount of space available for storage or just beautifully crafted finishing touches to complement your home.
Preserving the Environment
At Eric Bates & Sons, we are committed to minimising our effect on the environment and striving to maintain sustainability. Much of our furniture is FSC certified and the timbers used in our manufacturing process are sourced from FSC-managed forests through reputable UK timber merchants. We also recycle wherever possible.
Our workshop facility in Hoveton uses a waste recycling plant which consists of a wood chipper, extractor and wood burner to recycle our manufacturing waste. We also rely on this system to produce our own heat source, known as biomass, and we’re proud to have recently installed a 66kw solar system that will produce a large percentage of the electricity we consume.
Eric Bates & Sons is committed to continuously improving our environmental performance by monitoring the effect of our manufacturing processes and embracing new initiatives as they become available. Our continuous efforts are concrete examples of our dedication to reduce our carbon footprint and our belief that this, in turn, is supporting our children’s future.
